The Pain of Losing

In dark summer nights, we still feel the sun,
If we want to win the fight, sometimes we have to run,
Deep in a dark moment, our shadows don't survive,
When climbing our way out, all we can do is strive,
Sometimes we don't get out, but at least we see the light,
And times we do get out, but never see the light,
The pain of loosing, or the pain of holding on,
The pain of choosing, or the pain of living on,
The music sounds, like a flat basketball,
Dull & empty, but once full of life,
I cry alone, for who will want to hear?
They'll say something to comfort me, only for another tear,
The years go by, where have they gone?
We live on but don't forget, as the pain is going numb,
Future generations, will know a happy ending,
But a twinkle of pain, will sparkle from within,
Maybe it'll create a spark, In the middle of darkness,
Create a spirit, a candle can harness,
A glimmer of hope, resides in every soul,
So I beg for you to smile, as my tears begin to roll.
Take every moment, cherish it from within,
Run from depression, heart ache & sin,
Remember he's with you, smiling from above,
Remember he's with you, and his everlasting love.
