The Thirty Minute Mitzvah (A Meditation)

A glimmering menorah,
Shining through the rays of a dyslexic mind,
An infinite aura,
Shining through the ripples of an auspicious time,
Such light in one instance,
So bright in its distance,
Far brighter than anything in this world,
A connection ever forming with the ever loving lord,
Right at the doorstep of my kindling mind,
I can see the light come in and the menorah begins to shine,
The menorah, the aura, the light, the fight,
From the Maccabees,
Through the centuries,
To the years,
To the days,
Of lighting my menorah,
Of infinite light,
I see the candles,
The handles,
Of light,
To guide,
To hold,
To listen,
To feel,
To live,
And to me,
That menorah is,
What's inside of you,
And inside of me.
