"Gratitude 101" (A Poem)
Remember the good,
Is what everyone should,Put forth into the future,
Good moments and good humor,
To share with your peers,
In the upcoming years,
Remember the cheers,
Of local brewed beers,
The bike rides in the park,
The dogs didn't bark,
The tiny little spark,
I gave you light in the dark,
The smile from the barista,
Your vacation fiesta,
The guy with the guitar playing on the train,
I got behind the bar who gives you your champagne,
The stewardess on the plane,
Good service you obtain,
The house in which you live,
The pennies that you give,
The novels that you read,
And every planted seed,
Your deepest conversations,
Your longest meditations.
Your thoughts are your creations,
So make some good vibrations,
To give off to the world, and those who surround,
A double-edged sword, breaking barriers of sound,
To give off good energy, Relentless positivity,
To your friends and all your peers,
That they will treasure for years!
